Davido: Pop Star Pens Mouthwatering Deal With Sony Music
Awards winning pop sensation, David Adeleke better known Davido became the first ever Africa music act to sign a record deal with Sony Music Entertainment after the ‘Aye’ crooner penned a deal with the global music brand yesterday, January, 21, 2016.
The record deal, signed at the Sony Music Headquarters, New York, will help the pop star create, distribute and market his music at world class level.
An elated Davido took to his social media accounts to share the news of the mouthwatering deal with his followers. He shared a tweet saying “thank you God!! I have worked hard all my life for this day! This is the day that the lord has made!!”.
“1st African Artist to sign a global record deal! my story is just starting!! My mother is smiling in Heaven right now,” he added.
His followers have since flooded his thread with different congratulatory messages.
